Simple visual prompt cards to support AAC users in advocating for themselves/their voice and requesting their low tech AAC or high tech communication device when they don't have access to it.
Our non speaking learners can often experience times where their AAC tools are out of reach (e.g. left in bags, on shelves, or put away in cupboards) and their teachers/carers haven't thought to retrieve it for them. They may not be able to communicate that they need their device/AAC tools and sadly, miss out on many opportunities to engage, participate and express their needs, thoughts, and ideas.
Having this simple prompt card/reminder provides learners with a way of getting someone's attention and accessing their 'voice'.
Simply print, laminate, and attach to their desk, wheelchair, wall, visual schedule, or lanyard/keychain- anywhere that is easily accessible for them!
